| Pinguicula rotundifolia |
As promised last week, I have an update on my Pings. As
I mentioned previously, the heat in my apartment decimated my Pinguicula collection. Thankfully, moving it to a terrarium saved what remained (and I've been busy acquiring new plants to supplement the collection). Above, you can see the first flower on one of those new plants, a Pinguicula rotundifolia.

| Pinguicula cyclosecta |
Even relatively new plants, like this Pinguicula cyclosecta have settled in well. In fact, this one has divided into three plantlets already! (Most of the Pings have divided into multiple plants). I'm very excited to see it spread even more, and I plan on creating a great little setup, like at the
NECPS show.

| UL Pinguicula |
It's really thrilling to see the older plants recover (and divide)! What's even better is the color in their leaves has returned! In time, I plan on getting another timer so that I can give the plants more light, leading to even better color.

| Pinguicula Guatemala 3000m |
The moderately new plants, which suffered greatly during the transition, appear to all be coming back solidly. Most are still a little shaky, but putting out new leaves. I'm sure that, in time, they will begin to grow as prolifically as the rest of the collection.
 |
| Pinguicula 'Gina' |
This (new) Pinguicula 'Gina' demonstrates how well growth has been since moving to the terrarium. The newest leaf is even bigger than the leaves that grew at the Sarracenia Northwest greenhouse! Definitely a good sign.
 |
| Pinguicula moranensis 'A' |
The plants are doing so well, in fact, that some plants, like this Pinguicua moranensis 'A', have actually exceeded the edges of their pots. I have seen such great growth since I got this plant.
 |
| Pinguicula gracilis x moctezumae |
What's even better is that some plants, such as this Pinguicula gracilis x moctezumae, are producing flowers for the first time in months! I'm very excited to see these flowers (and get some photos)! (This is also one of my favorite Pings. It has such an interesting leaf!).
