This video of Pinguicula grandiflora in the wild really gives a sense of the quasi-unique habitats inhabited by many Pinguicula. Frankly, it's somewhat rare to find Pinguicula in the "typical" sphagnum bog. Usually, they're near some kind of running water and in very moist moss.
I actually like this video a lot because it portrays a similar sight to one I expect to see in mid-June, when I anticipate attempting to reach a Pinguicula vulgaris site in New Hampshire. Expect to see more updates on that trip once I actually get to go on it.
