NASC Auction: April 5th!

Hey All -

Just a short note today. The 2015 North American Sarracenia Conservancy (NASC) auction is scheduled to begin on Terraforums on April 5, 2015. The NASC auction is a fundraising effort put on jointly by NASC and Terraforums for the benefit of NASC. Ordinarily, a specific project or site is targeted by NASC as the recipient of the funds. Right now we (the NASC Board) are still trying to find a suitable project or site. (If you have any ideas, please feel free to leave them in the comments or shoot me an email).

Typically, the NASC auction functions by having growers donate plants to the cause. These can be anything from common plants to rare and highly sought after plants. Bidders then compete for the plants. Highest bidder usually pays the price of the plant to NASC and the cost of shipping to the donor. NASC confirms the payment and tells the donor to ship when ready.

This is a great opportunity both to donate plants and to get some awesome plants. I know it's prime dividing and selling season, so I wanted to put the word out early, both to make everyone aware and to try to persuade you guys to hold onto a few plants to donate to the auction.
