Alexander Fisch's Darlingtonia

Alexander's Awesome Darlingtonia
Alexander Fisch contributed this awesome photograph to the Darlingtonia Facebook group yesterday. I asked and received permission from him to share some photos of his fantastic collection here. For those of you on Facebook, I highly encourage you to join the Darlingtonia group (and other carnivorous plant groups). It's a great way to see some really awesome plants.

Alexander with his favorite Darlingtonia
I've been reading stories recently about people having great success with very root bound plants. Based on the size of that plant and its container, I think it's fair to say that it's a bit cramped. And the plant loves it! Simply fantastic!

In the right conditions, Darlingtonia can grow magnificently. Note how this one appears much taller than many of the mature Sarracenia around it. I really love the dark red coloration, too. I wish mine would color-up that well.
