Carnivorous Plant Artwork Around the House

Sarracenia and Pinguicula by Kate Halpin
I try to feature neat carnivorous plant art on here whenever I come across it. I'm very fond of sculptures, contemporary paintings, and older works. I also have some of my own, such as the Kate Halpin print above. I really like the simplicity of design and bright, bold colors. It makes a great focal piece for my living room.

Blown-Glass Nepenthes
I also have a blown-glass Nepenthes that I made a few years ago, when I had access to a glass blowing studio. It was a challenging piece to make because of the addition of the pitcher lid. It's a bit difficult to keep the whole piece hot enough, but not too hot to add on that additional glass.

Sarracenia flava painting
I also have a small painting of a field of Sarracenia flava that my grandfather painted for me not long after we visited a field of Sarracenia flava in the panhandle of Florida. For the most part, he does paintings of birds, so this was a different direction for him.

Cephalotus
I also have a Cephalotus print from Maria (The Carnivore Girl). This is my newest addition, and another great addition to my home. (I'm particularly pleased with the way a white mat highlights the colors of the Cephalotus pitchers).

Sarracenia purpurea and Dionaea muscipula
I was also lucky enough to win Maria's card giveaway. I've converted a couple of these - rather successfully - into framed prints.  They are great little pieces.
