Nepenthes spathulata x jacquelineae
As winter sets in (yes, we've already had a bit of snow here!), I've turned my attention away from the Sarrs and VFTs that demanded attention all summer and back on my indoor collection, including and especially my highland Nepenthes. Since updating their setup, they've all been doing quite well and I'm very pleased with the newest crop of pitchers.

Nepenthes boschiana
I've really enjoyed the rich panoply of colors that the highland plants produce, especially this lovely red boschiana. The color is a stark contrast to the browns and grays outside, the sad colors of New England in November. I'm very excited that this plant is doing so well.

Nepenthes ventricosa x spectabilis 'Giant'
After trading off my original Nepenthes ventricosa x spectabilis 'Giant', I decided to reacquire the plant. It was a good buy. The original didn't have quite the color of this individual, which is turning rich oranges and yellows under the T5 lights. I'm very pleased with its growth and look forward to it opening some more mature pitchers in the near future.
