Highlanders Popping Pitchers!

Nepenthes inermis x ventricosa
Living in the mountains has its advantages. Summer nights are a cool 50 degrees Fahrenheit and summer days typically stay in the mid-70s. (I know, that's blistering hot, right?). The nice thing about those temperatures is that they're perfect for highland Nepenthes. And, my highlanders have been busy popping pitchers.
Nepenthes singalana x dubia
One of the plants that has done very well is one that I hadn't seen any photos of before I decided to pick it up from Native Exotics. That Nepenthes singalana x dubia is a real winner. (This photo does not quite do it justice. The sharp little "teeth" on the peristome are only barely visible in this photograph, but quite evident in person. The center stem, which is not featured here, is a pleasant red, much like Nepenthes dubia).

Nepenthes hamata hybrid
I've also seen my first pitcher on a basal of a plant that was sold to me as "unknown. probably N. 'Miranda'." It's a little toothy for N. 'Miranda'. My best guess is that it's a hamata hybrid of some sort, but I'll have to wait to get some more mature pitchers before I can hazard a better guess.

Nepenthes jacquelineae hybrid
I've also seen some magnificent pitchers on some of my older plants. This is either my Nepenthes spectabilis x jacquelineae or Nepenthes eymae x (izumae x jacquelineae). I honestly have a hard time telling them apart without the tag and I forgot to make a note during this photography session. In any case, both are doing very well and producing pitchers which are very hard to tell apart.

Nepenthes [(lowii x veitchii) - yellow x boschiana] x [(veitchii x maxima) x veitchii]
Lastly, I have had to make some hard decisions recently. I've truly run out of room and as plants grow, I have to cull the collection. This complex lowii hybrid from EP is magnificent, but I love some other plants more, so I've offered it for sale. (Feel free to shoot me an email at Natch.Greyes[at]gmail if interested and I can try to get a more exact shipping quote).
